On 11-05-03 the Firmen-Kontakt-Tag took place at Fachhochschule Kiel again. We had a booth the second time and we used this possibility to inform students about the Programming-Club Kiel and the m23 project. Some visitor looked at our modified version of the bb demo only, but other asked questions about the m23 project, Linux in the whole, etc. Recapitulating we may say we were happy about the positive resonance at the Firmen-Kontakt-Tag.

BB demo

As an eye catcher we mofied the BB demo and showed it at our booth at the Firmen-Kontakt-Tag

You can get the SourceCode of the modified BB version and a little tool for making images for the BB demo. The file contains the KDEvelop project files. All you can get here (m23-bbdemo.tb2). If you don't want to compile at your own, you can get a binary here (m23bb.bz2) ;)

To make the translation of m23 more easy, we start the new sub project called "m23 translator".

It is the aim of "m23 translator" to create a web interface that makes it possible to translate the text files of the m23 admin interface. We want to make m23 available in more languages.

"m23 translator" is not finished yet and we hope for your help. The project will be coded in PHP and will use MySQL as database and should be used on the m23.sf.net web page. Now a short overview of all m23 translator components:

Login: is the login page and should use the same database entries as postNuke to make it possible to login with the same username and password on the m23.sf.net page and m23 translator. The user can select the original and a new language from what to what he/she would like to translate.

ViewFiles: shows the files from the /m23/inc/help/* and /m23/inc/i18n/* directories, that should be translated. This is shown on the left side of the page.

TranslateFiles: Generates a text area to insert the translation. The translation will be stored in the database with the file name of the original file and the name of the translator.

ViewTranslation: At this page all users can view, download and rate allready translated files.
