Hello. I'm french and my English is not perfect.

I have read the documentation about m23, but i don't understand clearly if m23 permit to deployed somes distributions like redhat, mandrake, suse, ... for network installation.
Is it possible ?

One person (in a french forum) tell me not, but your documentation purpose this possibility. (chapter 9.10)

If yes, must I do install packages's distribution on NFS server ? and server's m23 refers to it ?

Thanks for your answers.

m23 has an open API that permitts you to write the needed functions to use m23 with other distributions. Till now there are functions for Debian and ERPOSS (a Debian derivat). Don't hesitate if you want to write the needed functions for RedHat etc. Wink

Shocked I´m very astonished about the performance from m23 - respect. Is it difficult to use other debian derivates like ubuntu at the clients? Idea

You see - I am a newby with a high interest not to install too much packages - at the time I use kmlinux Rolling Eyes

E.g. the hack for ERPOSS3 was done in one week. May be Ubuntu support can be done in the same time.
I will check how complicated it may be.

It seems Ubuntu can be installed like the normal Debian. I tried to add the Ubuntu sources as a new package sources list. The installation started as normal but run into an error. When I have the time I will check where's the problem.

Try the new m23 update. This brings support for Ubuntu.
