Hallo zusammen,
Wir haben vor in unserer Lernwerkstatt (ca. 60 Computer) auf Linux (Linux Mint) umzusteigen.
Die Umstellung soll im Sommer erfolgen und nun ergeben sich für mich einige Fragen:
1. Woher kommt der Name M23, beziehungsweise was bedeutet er?
2. Im Mai wird die Neue LTS Version von Mint released. Wie lange wird es dauern bis der M23 diese Standardmäßig unterstützt?
3. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit beim Neueinrichten des Clients die Zertifikatsprobleme zu vermeiden (certificate not trusted), ohne diesen komplett neu anlegen zu müssen? |

Zu Deinen Fragen:

Der Name hat keine besondere Bedeutung - es gibt m23 schon seit 2002, der Name ist also bereits wesentlich älter als alle gleichnamigen Rebellenbewegungen in Afrika. Wir fanden einfach nur, dass er sich cool und interessant anhört. (wie sich hier offenbar wieder bestätigt  )

Ganz genau können wir das noch nicht sagen. Die Dauer der Integration in m23 hängt stark von den Veränderungen in Linux Mint ab. Wir schätzen etwa 2-4 Wochen, es kann aber auch länger dauern.

Kannst Du uns hierzu noch ein paar Infos geben, was genau Du meinst?

Hallo Maren,
wenn ich einen Client neu hinzufüge, einrichte und installiere ist erstmal alles gut.
Wenn ich dann allerdings eine andere Distribution installieren möchte (also den Client neu einrichten/gelbe Ampel), bekommt der Client bei der Installation den Fehler: Certificate of <IP> is not trusted und führt die Installation nicht aus.
Dieser Fehler kommt auch wenn ich über die Weboberfläche beim Client "Zurücksetzen auf "Hinzufügen"" im Kontrollcenter auswähle und dadurch nochmal die Hardwareinventarisierung durchläuft (worauf dann natürlich wieder die Einrichtung gemacht wird).
Damit der Fehler nicht auftritt muss ich den Client komplett löschen und dann neu hinzufügen.
Ich hoffe das war verständlich und danke dir schonmal im Vorraus.

wechselst Du die Distribution oder nimmst Du weiterhin LinuxMint 13?
Bootet der Client über das Netzwerk?
Was passiert, bevor die Fehlermeldung auftaucht?
Steht etwas im Client-Echtzeit-Status im Kontrollzentrum? Wenn ja, kannst Du dann das Protokoll ins Forum stellen oder mir per Mail schicken?

Ich benutze weiterhin Linux Mint (mit denselben Einstellungen, was Partitionierung, Software usw. angeht). Dieses Problem tritt auch auf, wenn ich dort etwas anderes einstelle.

Der Client versucht die Partitionierung/Formatierung der Festplatte durchzuführen. Er erkennt die Festplatte und dann kommt diese Ausgabe:

Hast Du evtl. das SSL-Zertifikat geändert?
Was gibt
