|
|
Hi, I'm trying to install Ubuntu 12.04 with mass installation to 48 new machines. It's not the first time - I have around 100 12.04 installed using m23.
The process ends where the bootloader should be installed. (full client logs on http://pastebin.com/heYU1jfx)
I checked the resulting partitions and they look fine. I tried the installation without extra packages and the result is the same. I updated and dist-upgraded the server.
I performed a manual installation from USB on the machines to check the hardware and that is ok too.
I'm a bit puzzled what to try next. Any suggestions where to look?
Thanks
Koen

Hi,
it seems that Ubuntu changed the logic in the kernel packages
I'm currently uploading updated packages. These packages should be available soon. Please update your m23 server and try again. After the upgrade the version should be m23 12.4 (100618).
Does it work again now? _________________ Hauke Goos-Habermann

yes, that solved it: 48 desktops are rolling out at the moment
What a thing to change after a release of an LTS version!
In got a gpg-error updating the server, which I eventually had to ignore to get past:
W: GPG error: http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net ./ Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG C6F0913D3305E63A Hauke Goos-Habermann (Package Sign Key) <hauke> |

Hi,
good that it works again
Does the sign error disappear when you import the key manually?
Code: | wget -T1 -t1 -q http://m23.sourceforge.net/m23-Sign-Key.asc -O - | apt-key add - |

Hi,
it seems that there was an old Release.gpg file on the server.
Now it should be (really/hopefully) be fixed
Please try again. _________________ Hauke Goos-Habermann

Code: | wget -T1 -t1 http://m23.sourceforge.net/m23-Sign-Key.asc |
