On a m23 package is worked and it seems really complicated to build this package. There are a lot of server programs, that have to be configured properly to make m23 work.
The m23 installer copies an image with operating system, preconfigured programs etc. on the harddisk of the server. This makes it easier for us, because we can make installs with a shorter installation script.
The installer was designed to make the installation possible for people with less or no linux knowledge. Last time (maybe 1 year ago) I saw the sarge installer it was not in a stage, I would like to give to people that are not familar with Debian/Linux. From my view it is much work to port the installer to the sarge installer and I don't know if the users would like a more complicated setup.
If we have the m23 deb package, a Debian administrator can install its server and install m23 on top. There may be a package in 1 month (if we have luck). _________________ Hauke Goos-Habermann
