I try to create new pxe boot but always fail.
I can create a kernel with /mdk/bin/menuStart ...
But busybox won't compile. The older ones have a problem with makefiles, the newer ones seem to be too big in size to fit to the initrd.
Why do I try to do this:
I have a bunch of DELL Optiplex 5040/7040 PCs with
(brand new) e1000e network cards.
After the kernel boots the hardware detection fails, because the PCI ID of these network cards is not recognized to belong to the e1000e.ko driver.
The pci id is 8086:15B8 (which is not contained in the 16.2 pxe boot image)
Can you please provide a working pxe linux and initrd supporting these cards? (with 4.1 or newer kernel will work; ubuntu xenial netboot works fine but does not install from m23...)
Thanks a lot for your work!! |

Sorry, for the late reply.
The ID will be included in the m23hwdetect tool for m23 16.3. _________________ Hauke Goos-Habermann
